Life with kids in St George
It's all about the lovely service and sweet treats in this great new Bexley cafe.
It's so exciting to see new cafes and restaurants arriving in Bexley, so naturally we were eagerly awaiting the newest kid on the block to open!
We visited Mama's Cafe Patisserie on a Saturday morning and there was a steady stream of customers coming through the door - many of them clearly excited that this was their new local. When we enquired after a high chair we were told that unfortunately they were on order but hadn't arrived yet (no problem Miss 7mo could sit on my lap). A few minutes later a high chair materialised courtesy of a friendly neighbour to the cafe! From there the lovely staff continued to go above and beyond for our noisy, messy family, right down to washing our BYO spoon (for Miss 7mo's baby food) for us before we left.
The menu features both sweet and savoury options, but it looks like the home made desserts are the must try items! Mr 3yo could barely see over his freshly squeezed apple juice, and house made complimentary biscuits with coffee are delicious and a great touch.
The cafe is cosy and there are a couple of stairs to navigate which could be a little tricky with a pram, but the interior is bright and contemporary and the service amazing. Well worth a visit!
