Life with kids in St George
With an open indoor play area surrounded by tables, babycino menu and even a special designated spot for pram parking, Ruby Niks Kids is set to become a firm favourite with mother's groups and parents looking for a spot to unwind when shopping with the kids at Westfield Miranda.
Sitting opposite the grown up version of 'Ruby Niks', 'Ruby Niks Kids' has been specially set up to cater to parents of young children and toddlers. It's a great spot for the kids to burn some energy while you recharge with a coffee and a bite to eat.
The layout of the cafe is designed around the play area. Most tables have a clear view, but if you can aim for one of the tables directly next to it so that you can enjoy your coffee while watching the kids play.
There's a cute babycino menu for the kids - they can choose from chocolate, sprinkles, chocolate flake, strawberry or mini marshmallows. We tried out the rainbow sprinkles and Miss 2 couldn't contain her excitement once it arrived. At $2.50 they're not the cheapest babycinos around, but given that the cafe provides play facilities for the kids we felt that it was fair price.
The rest of the kids menu has some options that are sure to please at reasonable prices. We're thinking of trying out the Sundae next time we visit :)
The play area features fake grass, lots of balls, bouncy toys, activity wall and colouring in. The space feels geared to 1-3 year olds and Miss 2 had a ball testing everything out - at one stage it felt like a toddler mosh pit it got so busy!
Ruby Niks Kids is a great alternative to visiting the play areas next time you're at Westfield Miranda. It's a great spot for mother's groups to meet at and it's terrific to see a business identify an opportunity and really cater to market that is craving businesses just like this!
