Life with kids in St George
Dynamic and fun sessions for under fives and their carers will facilitate children's social development, creative thinking and listening skills as well as supporting the development of a love of books and reading.
The Story Corner program covers many of the activities and stages that develop good literacy in young children. Sessions also aim to encourage carers' attainment of good storytelling practices to use at home.
Storytimes: With special themes and exploring books by some of our favourite authors songs and stories, old and new for 3-5 year olds
Rock & Rhymetime: Participate in sessions consisting of finger plays, action songs, puppetry and counting rhymes to get babies and toddlers communicating through stories, song and movement free time at the end of the session will allow carers to talk to Children's staff about their child's reading and for us to introduce new books. For children under 4, all welcome
Tots and Toytime: A 30 minute program with educational toys and puzzles for children and carers to meet, play together, talk, share and solve puzzles encourages the basic skills required for school readiness and develops intellect, motor skills, sharing and concentrating on tasks the focus here is on having fun together, all welcome.
